Rebecca (Addison Vodka) has a real problem: her stepfather kicked her out of the house and even took her phone, and now she’s gone to his brother John (Chad White) for a place to stay temporarily till this blows over.
Uncle John is surprised to see her, and is hospitable, but he doesn’t have a spare bed, so he chivalrously suggests that he sleep on his living room couch while she takes his bed. She counters that she’d like to sleep in his room with him, but John insists that’s not a good idea.
That all settled, he wakes her up next morning for breakfast and Rebecca reveals what went down with her stepdad. “He made a move on me”, she states. Rebecca describes that when she resisted his advances, he lied to her mom, claiming that she tried to seduce him! And then he kicked her out.
“I came here because I trust you. You’ll take care of me, right?”, Rebecca tells Uncle John. He’s still taken aback at this story of his brother’s bad behavior, but there’s a sticking point -his wife Andie wouldn’t approve of her moving in with them. So John agrees to let her stay with him but just until his wife gets home.
The next night, John’s asleep on the couch, when Rebecca wakes him up -she’s had a nightmare about her stepdad, and doesn’t want to be alone. Joining him on the couch, she snuggles up next to him and asks: “Can’t I just lay here with you until I fall asleep?”. He relents, and as they chat, Rebecca is down on herself, claiming she can’t do anything right. “The only thing that I’m good at always gets me into trouble. Like my stepdad said – I’m made for sex”.
